What We Offer?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Clinic

Connecting Pieces Autism Center offers in-center ABA services for children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), Down Syndrome (DS), mood disorders, ADD, ADHD, social anxiety, developmental delays, learning disabilities, sensory processing disorders, and other cognitive exceptionalities. Services are also available for individuals with behavioral issues that inhibit their learning, communication, and/ or ability to be functional. To ensure our students connect the pieces, our ABA practitioners have widespread training and experience in ABA, Verbal Behavior (VA), Behavior Modification (BM), and functional language communication.

WHAT WE ARE ABOUT

Assessments

At Connecting Pieces Autism Center, assessments are conducted by a BCBA to determine your child’s specific needs. They will use the assessment below such as:

  • Assessment of Basic Language and Learning (ABLLS),
  • Assessment of Functional Living Skills (AFLS)
  • Verbal Behavior Milestones Assessment and Placement Program (VB-MAPP).
  • Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) with accompanying Positive Behavior Support Plan (PBSP)

** Data will be collected, analyzed, and reported for progress monitoring. **

WHAT WE ARE ABOUT

Classrooms & Destimulation Room

  • At the center, our classrooms are designed and arranged with tables and chairs, sensory toys, and developmental toys that the students use for free play, 1:1, and group activities.
  • Classrooms are welcome-friendly for other health practitioners such as Occupational, Physical, and Speech, to come and observe and provide services with their clients at the center.
  • We have an indoor play area that has rubber mats, sensory toys, fine motor equipment, suspended equipment with swings, mini trampoline, and more all age appropriate.
  • DESTIMULATION AREA- “sensory room”- is a safe, quiet environment where the practitioners will accompany the students. The room provides low levels of stimulation enabling users to calm down when overstimulated.
